Mobile Billboard Marketing – There is just something wrong about this…

A good part of marketing today is having a video about your company on the web, however there is just something wrong here..  It’s a good video and it’s put together pretty well… what can be wrong?  The message seems to be clear, it has decent music in the background and it shows multiple mobile billboards in a pretty crowded area.  What could it be?

People, if you make a video promoting your services please don’t use an Escort Service Advertisement as your poster child!  Remember that you as a company get’s branded as much as the advertisement (people do associate one with another) and you don’t want your company to get a bad image.  I mean really, do you think that someone who will see this video will say “wow look how great they are promoting this escort service, I hope they can do the same for my company”, I really could see something like this in a South Park episode.  I would not be critiquing it this bad if they maybe showed the escort advertisement just for a few seconds and then showed another advertisement of some kind, the problem is that its showed throughout the whole video!   

Here is a free helpful tip:  If you do plan on making a video for your company (really recommended) and you just started out and have no advertisements on your billboard to showcase for your video.  First, seek out a branded company that people recognize and respect.  Second, offer them free advertisement on your mobile billboard for a week and the only thing they have to pay for is the banners/vinyls.  Third, in return you get permission to use any pictures or video for your use of marketing and branding your company, also you want a testimonial from them either written or video (video is always best and can be included in your promotional video).
